A new chapter is opening in the Finnish professional services market. Six of the country’s most respected independent SME audit and advisory firms – SYS Audit, Tiliextra, Auditus, HJL Audit, Tase-Koivu and Lecklé – have joined forces to form Census, a new SME-focused audit and advisory services group.
Backed by Aspira Partners, Census group launches with a combined annual revenue of over EUR 20 million and around 170 professionals – including approximately 50 certified auditors, more than 30 lawyers and tax specialists, and a dedicated team corporate finance and HR specialists. The group operates nationwide in Finland through 22 offices, serving over 13,000 clients across the country.
By combining six firms – each with a strong regional market position, an entrepreneur-led culture and high customer satisfaction – Census group offers a full range of audit, tax, legal, HR and corporate finance services nationwide, while having the scale required to invest in talent, technology, compliance, and other central capabilities.
Six established advisory firms with strong local market positions
Together, SYS Audit, Tiliextra, Auditus Tilintarkastus, HJL Audit and Tase-Koivu form the cornerstone of the newly formed group’s audit services. SYS Audit, the largest of the firms, with offices in Jyväskylä, Helsinki, Kuopio, Iisalmi, Lahti, Porvoo and Seinäjoki, is one of Finland’s leading SME-focused audit firms. Tiliextra, headquartered in Helsinki, brings the group a strong position in the capital city region and deep expertise in audits of SMEs, housing companies and associations. Auditus Tilintarkastus, headquartered in Hämeenlinna, complements the group’s presence across Central and Southern Finland. Savonlinna-based HJL Audit anchors the group’s presence in Eastern Finland, and Tase-Koivu strengthens operations in Turku and Western Finland. Across the five firms, recurring statutory audit work accounts for the large majority of revenue, providing the group with a stable, non-cyclical foundation.
Founded in 2017, Lecklé brings together tax, legal, corporate finance, and HR advisory services under one roof. Backed by an entrepreneurial team with Big Four experience, the firm has, from the outset, sought to modernize the Finnish tax and legal advisory market and establish a new nationwide player in the industry. Today, with approximately 50 professionals across six offices, Lecklé has built a strong brand in the SME segment and serves around 800 clients nationwide. As part of the new group, Lecklé expands the group’s advisory capabilities across tax, legal, HR, and corporate finance services, further strengthening its position as a fast-growing full-service partner responding to the increasing demand among SME clients for trusted multidisciplinary advisory solutions.
